I'll be very surprised if I manage to fit in any playing tonight - got people round for pics - so here's one I was playing with yesterday. I pinched all these little bottles from my parents as they were sitting round doing not a lot and far more useful in my house Smile All delightfully dirty as they came out of a rubbish pit that had been found in the garden - and dirty they will stay.

Oh I found the case at the car-boot on Sunday.

I will return to this, or a similar, arrangement in due course - I'm undecided whether the focussing works or not.....

Lovely comp and tones just maybe not enough DoF to keep the FG sharp?

Well that's the problem - normally with something like this I might combine a couple of shots as I'm working in very low light and it's a tricky blighter to get in one shot. I neglected to do that last night and in a way I kinda like the soft foreground bottles but suspect they'll be deeply unpopular Smile

I will be playing again but everything is cleared out of the way now for a photo shoot this evening. The chaos can return tomorrow!

I have seen many effective soft foreground shots win prizes especially in an "art" category. I rather like it myself, and you have done a nice job of it here....I don't think every image has to be pin sharp.
Those bottle are wonderful.

Must admit the softness of the bottles in the foreground is a distraction, but agree that the composition and tones are great - the case looks like a really good find and will certainly look forward to seeing that making it's mark in future still life's!

Can't say the softness bothers me as you've handled the light so well.
I have a nice collection of coloured bottles but usually get
and reflections and flare. The b/g case is great contrast.
Looking forward to seeing more of these.
