I shot this image for a wedding in the bedroom at the grooms parents house, which had a gothic theme. They had a leather settee in the room and the walls were a deep burgundy which made a great backdrop once I'd taken the large mirror off the wall. The image is of the groom and and the (three) best men.
I shot the image in complete darkness lighting the shot using a Lowell ID Continuous Video light from one side to create a moody overall look.
I was slightly disapointed because time was very short and I shot the image "breath held" and "hand held" at 1/40th second on f2.8.
I think the image has a kind of gentlemen's club feel but with a hint of unpredictability, almost a little Gentlemen Gangster, hence the image title has been taken from an early New York Gang named The Bowery Boys...
