One from early yesterday morning down at Brandlehow Bay in the Lake District. After a rather restless nights 'sleep' in the car, Fran & myself dragged ourselves out and wearily made our way down to the landing stage and waited for the day to break.
Although we hadn't had any breakfast at this point ourselves, this didn't stop the midges having their fill - judging by the lumps we both are currently doing our best not to scratch ![]()
This was one of the last shots I took before packing up. The early colour had predominantly disappeared and the light was getting harsher, so I decided to whack on the BIG Stopper for a play ... the sun creeping over the tops of the fells was a bonus ![]()
0.6 ND grad [hard] + Lee BIG Stopper, processed in Lightroom 3.
Cheers for dropping by.
Paul

Wonderful capture and well worth being the subject of a feeding frenzy to achieve.

Great shot Paul and I'm looking forward to the rest. Full marks to you both too for 'sleeping' in the car.

Congrats mate, fabulous news! It's been a while since you've got a canvas so about time! (that is if it ever turns up)
I missed this last week Paul. Well done for adapting to the changing light conditions and pulling off a superb image. Congrats on the POTW.

Quote: Congrats on the EC Paul. Great use of the Big Stopper.
Still not ordered one of those, but if Lizzie asks I am blaming you for the geared head and 2 stop hard grad I just bought ![]()
The geared head I have is one of the best things I have bought.
Stunning Image - the use of the filters has really enhanced the scene
Congrats, Paul - I'm sure it won't have come as any surprise: you knew how good this is! ![]()

Stunningly beautiful! The depth in this photo is amazing.
Hey Paul, great to hear from you ... the midge bites on the side of my head are just about unnoticeable ![]()
Would love to come down under for a visit, time, costs and my inability to get on a plane for any length of time are the only barriers that I can see. Hope life is well 'down there' and please give my best wishes to your lovely Charmaine too ![]()
Been looking at the Singh Ray for a while now Terry, would like to think if things pick up I might be able to afford one in the future.
