As I mentioned a few days ago, the stepping stones at Highfields are out of bounds to visitors, but there is a bridge nearby - this one.
Incidentally, the main purpose of taking the camera to Highfields last week was to get some shots of the rhododendrons. As you may have guessed, in the event other subjects turned out to be more interesting. That's part of the joy of being an amateur, perhaps. One can change one's mind in mid-shoot and it does not matter, since one only has oneself to please. A professional would have had to complete the assignment regardless.
