WinkWell we've all heard of landscapes and seascape so I thought I try a "Bridgescape"

On a freezing cold, miserable, grey Friday afternoon I decided to trog off to Southampton to try a couple of these long exposure bridge shots, sadly the tide was out so I didn't really get what I was after completely, but I did get a few shots.

I have uploaded a version 2 which is a crop to get rid of the mud flat... V1 is my favourite though. I'd be glad of your thoughts so all comments welcomed.

Thanks to all those that took the time to click and comment on yesterdays upload, much appreciated as always

Mark

I like V1, but I also like V2. [ That sounds like an Ad for Aldis]
The cropped version is more powerful, but I like the textures in muddy FG in V1.

I think V.2 is my choice, Mark, though both are excellent compositions. Carol

Very interesting. I like v1 marginally better. Was it windy? - there seems to be a very slight softness in the bridge and jetty.

Jason, it was a tad, but this is an effect of the processing I did, a bit like glamour glow in CEP... Thanks for the comment.

v2 is stronger compositionally, with the bridge forming a corner to corner diagonal and the gangway coming in from the bottom left corner but I do like the texture of the mud. A compromise... crop to just below those two sets of black bits??

As usual Dave sees the best of both!
I do like the textures in V1 but yes Dave is right the composition is better in V2.
Something different for you which is always good.
