A male broad bodied chaser dragonfly I saw beside one of the small ponds in the heathland area at Woorgreens nature reserve in the Forest of Dean on a day out with epzer gary_d a few weeks ago.

This one is well named as it's no way as sleek and streamlined as the many others we see on site.
Another well captured specimen.
Ronnie.

Being mindful of the small size of the subject captured here - this has been superbly done. Love the lighting, the fine detail captured in the wings and body with an excellent out of focus non-distracting background that produces a near 3D effect.

Smashing piece of work.
