One to hopefully look forward to capturing at the weekend. This was from March, just before the hailstorm hit - - we could see it advancing towards us down the Buachaille. Just had time to hit the clicky thing, then run for cover!
I was trying to achieve a "painted" feel to this, and to get across how black the sky was, with the clouds rolling down the mountain, and how cold the water was - - so comments on whether I achieved my goal are really welcome, plus tips on how too, if you feel I've missed the mark ![]()
Reminds me - - off to find my waterproofs, just in case!!! ![]()
Enjoy Tuesday evening and the rest of the week, playing bridge toinight, so I'll pop in when I can, Thanks for taking the time to call in ![]()
Cheers!
Fran x

Fran this is superb. Can smell the wet weather through the image. Great light and fantastic exposure on the water, got the speed spot-on. Sylv.
Nice one Fran. Hope you get the weather this weekend for some great shots.
I am shooting weddings this weekend so can't see me meeting up with yourself and Paul. .... One of these days.....![]()
Safe journeys
Scotty
Magnificent effort, Fran!
I think you've just shifted up five gears!
Glad to have caught this so early on.
Cheers
Bill
Certainly has a feel of some biblical weather approaching.
I wonder if desaturating the water a little might give it a more natural feel.
Not a criticism, just a suggestion ![]()
Paul
I opened this up & shivered, so I think you have achieved what you wanted Fran....
That mountain really looks bleak & the water looks freezing cold.
A beautiful composition though....

At first Fran i thought it was slightly on the dark side and a bit blue but then read your narrative and realise you have achieved exactly what YOU wanted and not what I wanted and I applaud you for that. Why on earth we all want to take the same bog standard shot is beyond me but fortunately you did not fall into that trap.
Danny

Happy EPZ birthday Fran/lovely toning and composition.
Tom.
