I was concerned how stable the tripod was here submerged in the shingle, That tide was quite 'lively'

Great shot, the clarity of the timber & movement of the water, just makes it. These are difficult shots and you end up with shaky tripods and very wet feet !!!

Motion blur so close to the lens always makes me feel on edge and not a little queasy. Seems so at odds with the calmness elsewhere in the shot.

Those waves look fairly lively to me and there's a great sense of the pull of the tide here rather than just motion. Love the colours and the detail in that weathered stump

A stunner Derek, and very good details in the wooden posts and the crop seems to accentuate your composition. Nice one. Wink

Seems to have been OK Derek, it does make you feel unstable when you're standing there.

Cracking shot !!!....great composition, with lovely detailing in the timber, & just the right amount
of 'movement' in the water !!!!

I love the 'character' in the upright posts.....I'd be inclined to desaturate the 'newish' horizontal planks
to match the old timber ??
