Haven't seen it taken this close before and so this has a freshness about it seldom seen. Wonderful light on Stob Dearg and beautifully exposed and composed, Dougie.

More fabulous detail. The band of light across the featureless scrub grass at the bottom of the crags draws our eyes both up to the crags themselves and down to the rushing water and the foreground. In fact all the elements relate to each other. Fantastic.

The top looks so close, just a short stroll...
(I do know otherwise... )

A fantastic composition, Dougie, the stream leads the eye naturally to the left and along the valley floor.
I do like the fact that the top of the mountain is in shadow, as oppossed to the 'normal' where the mountain sides are shadowed and the peak highlighted. It hoids our eyes more in the middle of the image where the light is. Ina way, the mountain is providing a natural vignette at the top of the image.

Excellent Dougie...up close n personal for sure !!
