Many thank for you kind and witty remarks and the votes on the grotty door . More to come from Marrans
This big bud belongs to a very big wildflower near the mozzy lake it vaguely resembles hogweed but is much bigger. Maybe some among you know more. I was fascinated with the giant, baggy buds.
Update: we got the rain now, after 7 weeks of nothing we got torrential rain. Just like you in Britain, only here there is plenty of empty dams and river beds to take it.
Good pov here, Annette, a strange looking plant but excellent shapes, textures and tones. Two interesting versions but v1 has so much interesting detail it gets my vote outright.
I was thinking the same as Dave -- a very interesting and creative POV. Very nice images all. I like v3 for a fanciful creation but I think my favorite is V1.
I have no idea what this plant is but captured as you have it looks quite impressive.
I too tend to like the original at V 1 the best although V 3 is a quite artistic presentation.
I think is is wonderful observation Annette. Your manipulations are in no way an improvement on the original.
V1 for me.
Lovely sharp image Annette V1 for me
What a wonderful bud.
Interesting effects in version 3 but it sits well in it's natural skin
in V1. The colour and texture of the bud is just lovely.
Beautiful and interesting
Yes,certainly a strange looking one here annette !!
Good set,and go for V1.
Is it a Triffid?
V1 for me.
Oh beaten to it - sure looks like a Triffid to me V1 is stunning and v3 is wonderfully artistic, so they will have to share the vote ... Carol
Just stunning covers it................
Being somewhat of a naturalist, i will stick with v1 and wonder what it might be-- I would have mentioned Giant Hogweed-- but.......
Well seen and captured, Annette.Deep
Looks like a daucus carota, or wild carrot, Annette, and I love the timing of the capture against the sky, especially V.1. Carol
V1 for me Annette, an interesting subject and captured from a great pov. Not so keen on V2 however, a little bit "in your face"
Quote: V1 for me Annette, an interesting subject and captured from a great pov
I quite agree
It looks like an alien Annette! I'd have thought giant hogweed too - which is extremely poisonous. V1 for me. I hope Chris is recovering!
If it looks like Hogweed but very much bigger, it is almost certain to be Giant Hogweed. If so, for heaven's sake don't touch it!!!! You'd do yourself and a great many others a huge favour it you use Roundup weedkiller on the newly emerging plant next Spring as it spreads like wildfire. Touching it at any stage of its growth causes massive skin problems. Local authorities over here are working hard to eliminate it.
Goodness, almost forgot to say, fab image!!
this is a real find .... gorgeous image
Impressive - it has the look of a resin sculpture.
Great pov - I like the natural form of V1.
Lovely detail Annette, nicely isolated against the sky and perfectly exposed. My preference is au naturel as in v1.
Very interesting POV Annette. It really helps to give emphasis to the image. V1 for me.
from this pov looks like something from the war of the worlds V1 for me fine detail and texture
Has to be v1......I think it is a triffid blossom
What ever it is, v1 makes it look very imposing a stately.
V1. for me very good detail and nice colour, regards Leon.
An impressive shot.
V1 for me too, love the colours and detail! Cracking image
V1 all the way for me Annette, the natural touch
I'm pretty sure its Wild Angelica, Annette, which you can see here.
I like the way you've captured the shape of the bud against the sky.
What an unusual bud! V1 today... IB
