Good morning all....

This is a shot of my brother "Budge" I took recently whilst on a family visit. Family are good to practise on just wish they lived nearer.

Thanks for stopping by Smile

Not normally a great fan of a dark vignette myself, but it definitely works here and adds considerably to the shot. Cracking detail in here missus and well converted too. Like it.

Funny this as the thumbnail looks flat and lacking in contrast, but the image just gets better the larger it's viewed. Large is a cracker ... plenty of contrast, loads of detail and well processed too. Not the kind of treatment you could get away with on a lady (apart from Dot) but it works well here.

Thanks Paul & Paul....and Dave...much apprecited.

I had no choice but to use a heavy vignette Paul. I had meant to take my black back drop when I went to visit my brother ....but forgot and left it at my sisters from doing "Mr Jacksons" portrait. It was too far away to go back ....and we could not find anything to use as a dark back drop Sad I wanted to use the image as I dont see my brother very often and really liked the overall portrait....so I tweaked into something I thought might look better...back ground wise if you get what I mean.

Thanks again for your comments Smile

Dave I think you like Dot Wink

I am suitably placated Ms Catz. But I now have a rather awful mental image of Dot donned in leather garb leering at a naked man with his socks on.

I have this image of Dot & Dave firmly fixed in my head now thankyou very much Wink...I need some Paracetomol !
Good tones here Alison & a far away look in his eyes which you have captured well.

Good portrait. Budge has a bit of a Klingon forhead, doesn't he ?
