Not been around much due to other commitments and such like so please excuse the rather predictable upload from me today, I haven't got much else to post until I get around to sorting out a whole load of RAW files that are waiting for me to develop. Don't think this moth needs any real introduction, its a rather beautiful and twig-like Buff Tip, Phalera bucephala.
Hedgehog Update
Still getting the odd Hedgehog visitor into the garden late on in the evening and the Woodmice are still showing quite well. We're also getting the Fox still visiting briefly, usually very early in the morning just before dawn. A new camera has been added to the system, this covers the bird tables/feeders during the day which means the whole system with the exception of odd breaks for maintenance is now live 24/7 and hopefully if you visit the site you should find something to see. We've also been given HQ (High Quality) status on the stream, this means that the stream can now be viewed at 640x480pixels, this is in part due to the popularity of site. So many thanks to all those folk who've shown interest and have been avidly watching those hoggies
For those folk not familiar with the site you can visit it by clicking on this link: Ade's Hedgehog & Garden Wildlife Cam Although at the moment I'm sorting the bird cams position out, but the best time to visit is after 9-10pm as that's when we might see the hogs
Thanks again to all.......Who needs Autumn Watch ![]()

A beautiful buff, Ade. The cam looks good but the bright sun is not helping (as you write).

Quote: You'll have the BBC next Ade !!! another fine moth image. Detailed individual.
Ron.
The BBC can't afford the Big O, he's not known as Bristol's Premier Wildlife photographer for nothing you know!
In addition they'd have to pay for an interpretor and a translator so that the viewers would be able to understand his strong Bristolian dialect!
This is a tremendously detailed close up of this cameouflaged character Ade, he blends in so well with that bark
Quote: This crittur had just about the most perfect natural camouflage that I have seen on any creature Ade. This is superb. Congrats on the fine show with the 'hogs and garden stuff. Really informative.
Ron
I was about to say thank you for all your hard work with the web cams and for the interesting feedback agree totally with Ron and his comment quoted - the moth is so well camouflaged I for one would have passed it by, superb top notch work Ade and thank you again
