Now then…just to clarify…when I say ‘in the garden’, it’s my mum’s garden. Well, more like a rather unkempt mini jungle. Parts of it are not easily accessible but I like certain things about it…the signs of a wild ‘matured’ garden. For one, the animals – residents or daily visitors – who have bred here. The squirrels, tree shrews, garden lizards, tailorbirds and bulbuls. For another, the leaf litter and compost you find along the paths that make it look a bit like a forest floor ![]()
As for the orchids, most of them are bought, some found, some given.
Speaking of which, I found these two shots on the Ixus yesterday. Taken last June. Same orchid as in the last upload but I thought you might like the view in V1 ‘cos you get to see the petal formation better.

How extraordinary, unlike any orchid that I have seen. Natural precision.
Moira
Your mum's jungle sounds delightful, as is this very unusual orchid, which you've captured beautifully. From fingers to a fan!
This should do very well Andrew, the layout of the petals is beautiful.

v2 is a lovely natural shot, but v1 is an excellent shape, almost graphic.

And well worth revisiting too if I may say so, i've never seen this unusual variety of orchid before. A real joy to view my friend especially as we are experiencing the dark days of winter and the Snowpocalypse has hit Gloucestershire!
beautiful pics.. love how you captured V1 ..
Hope you have been doing well..![]()
