Barry I didn't use High Pass method of sharpening although I think I understand where you are coming from. If you look at the yellow colour on the left you can see the hatch markings in the glass these marking are also present around the other yellow area thus this maybe the reason why/

Thanks for the response steven. The image is nice, I particularly like the reflection of the couple and the guy in the shot, but something in the overall quality is not quite as I'd expect and I thought that might be it.
