I've been wondering, fungus--odd piece of drift wood--the thumb is so interesting--would never have guessed burned plastic bags-- What a great eye you have for the unique!

This is looking at the end of a roll of plastic bags. Before any individual bags are torn off the roll, if you look at the roll end-on, you see a series of concentric rings. In this case, the fire has made the roll wrinkle up and has discoloured the plastic (they were white bags originally). ![]()
