Standing in rainshowers, chatting to passing walkers, watching the day go by...and eventually the light arrived where I wanted it..... Smile

Beautifully contrasty image, and an excellent reason for standing around in the rain talking to passersby ... especially if you capture transient moments like this. Definitely worth getting wet for!

Classic, Maggie is in the Lakes at this moment climbing hills !! A reminder of this stunning location Jeanie ( Buttermere ) and of what I am missing ( both !)

Fantastic contrast here Jeanie. The light on the tree really picks it out against the dark background.

Tried to capture just this image when I was there, but never got the light in the right place as you have here. Nice one Wink

Fantastic. This scene has been photographed so often and you've really caught it beautifully. Superb monochrome.
