John and I took a trip to the Lake District yesterday. Stopping off at Crummock water for a delicious picnic by the lake, we then moved onto Buttermere.
There was some fabulous evening light, so I took the opportunity of getting out my Tamron 18 - 270 PZD, Bought last year but very seldom used, to capture the light on the infamous Buttermere trees.
All in all a fabulous day.

As always Thanks for Looking.

I love the warmth of the low evening light and the way it makes the trees really stand out from the background. The distorted reflections and texture in the water are gorgeous - a wonderful image.

The light really is superb on the trees - and the reflections are the icing on the cake.

A super low light image with fabulous evening sunshine picking out every single detail, not only in the trees and grasses but also the scree and rocks behind. The diagonal of the path running up the hill gives yet another dimension and scale to this image.
A test for any tog with such contrasting light and u passed with honours.
Texture, light, reflections. Its all there.

The evening light is fascinating -- leaving the BG untouched but putting a great light on the trees and reflections.
Very nicely done.
