Another lone tree, this time taken in 2011 near Inchnadamph with Quinag in the background. Comments and criticisms are very welcome.
Thanks for looking.
Is there a bit of haloing around the skyline on the right?
Super winter scene, very nicely composed and captured.
Hi Ann, that does look so cold, you have done well with the whites in this almost mono image.
All the best Nick
Simple and beautiful winter scene!
great work with the whites here love the starkness of the shot and the tree good one
This is about as close as I could get to a wild buzzard, too, Ann . Makes for a beautiful scene. Carol
A natural mono. That little touch of color in the grass is lovely. Nicely done whites, too.
Another super composition Ann, making me shiver,
This is a beautiful winter landscape Ann !! Something I can only dream about
Excellent composition making the very best of beautiful snowscape.
Very cold image. The tree is in just the right position
a simple and really effective winter scene Ann.
Well captured snow tones and so well composed.
Has the cold feel of winter and that more snow is coming feel.........Sandy
It's a very gentle and serene image which speaks of strength and survival.
Love looking but do not want to be out in it, excellent capture exposed and composed beautifully Ann.
Nicely balanced composition, Ann, good diagonals and a well placed tree. The slight colour from the reeds shows the bleakness of the scene.
Remote and marvellous
This is brilliant Ann, great comp'. And if you can't have a bit of Haloing around Christmas time, then when can you ?
A very bleak looking scene Ann, how brave are you to go out in that, nice one like it lot, nicely balanced could almost be mono, regards Leon.
Happy to make it 30
Think you've done a first class job with this cold winter landscape.
How lovely - wintry isolation.
I don't think I know enough about haloing to comment but I do see a sort of soft darker grey outline above the white ridge at the back. Is that haloing?
Lovely image, by the way. Very cool how that twisty tree stands out and so firmly against the cold white
White heaven Ann.
A wonderfully observed, composed and processed photograph of this white, wild and wonderful wintery landscape. "As for the Buzzard I am still looking for him?"
Brrrrrrrrrrrright and beautiful scene, and yes, I can see the buzzard.
No halo on my screen
just a beautifully captured winter scene and buzzard
Excellent composition and impact, Ann
A lovely 'bleak' winter scene.
Nice addition to see the lone buzzard in the tree.
A marvellous image of Quinag in it's winter clothes Ann, it can wild up here when the snow is on the ground.
Simple and stark.
An area I have yet to see.
Another super seasonal scene, Ann, luv the composition of this one, the lone tree always works well and the undulating hills in the background really enhance your composition.
Simple yet very effective. Love the composition. paul
A lovely image Ann and very well composed.
Tree-mendous composition Ann.
Great shot !!!......that tree is placed to perfection for a top notch image !!!
Wow this is cold... excellent atmosphere!
You must have the eyes of a hawk to spot a buzzard from that distance! This is a very stark and bleak winter landscape and the tree is perfectly placed in the shot
