Back to Pollok Country Park this time: I found these rhododendrons and azaleas in a clearing in the forest and was attracted by their rounded shapes contrasting with the vertical lines of the pine trees.

Once again, my grateful thanks to all who commented on Thrifty View, and with special thanks to Annette {annettep38} and Richard {DicksPics} for their much cherished User Awards.

Ronnie.

This is a very "bright" or strong image. For me it just jumps off the screen! Great shot, Ronnie.

I like the contrast in shapes you noted Ronnie. You get a lot of depth from including the FG blooms too.

A wonderful advertisement for Pollok Park.
Your composition is excellent with the f/g rhododendron
separating the path between it and the flowering shrubs and trees in b/g
making the image almost 3D.

The receding trunks give an excellent depth, Ronnie, and the cloudy day evens the light out to give some lovely tones. It does look a trifle sticky underfoot Smile
