Excellent image Diana, I love the processing, great stuff me thinks.
Hugh
I think you've sorted out pretty much everything here, the drops are nice and clean ann the colour adds a lot of punch.
You've softened the shoulder nicely but left a hard white edge on the bandage which really suits this image and gives it a style of its own.
Since you ask I'm going to give you 9. The one is knocked off because for my taste those drops are just too big... but that's an artistic judgement and very much a matter of opinion.
A super classy image though and worth every hour you've put into it.
Eric
How did you know it took me hours lol
thank you so much
10 outta 10 to you for the feedback and help though
I learned loads and that is really appreciated
(I preferred yesterday's for the dirtiness of it, but the techs were not right)
no excuse now for future work lol
Diana
i prefer your last image, because the bright blue area is certainly dominating the portrait here, i think, although it is your choice, and obviously it is a beautiful one, very well done...
It's been good to see the evolution of this image Diana! I have posted a small mod for you - not any better just a couple of differences.
Good bold image here! Well done
Andy
Less confusing. But I did like the 'dirtiness' of yesterday's...
Moira
Morning,
the possibilities are endless arent they? thanks Andy for another interpretation, fab idea....love the wound great stuff (how'd you do that then?)
I'm not after marks outta 10 from everyone one lol just the few that gave me those tips to see if I carried them out OK so dont worry about that
so thanks for the comments and all, but this was really an exercise in learning some of those so generously given tips
have a great day ....
Diana
Watcha Diana,
still a good pic, but, for me, it hasn't resolved the tension between the rough frame - bandaged hand, and the pretty blue background. The pretty girl and rough bits go together, although a fighter without scars is a contradiction in terms, the mod by Andy has helped to resolve that. I am still of the opinion that the blue, clean background is killing the pic.
Photoshop skills, as I'm on about 2/10, I'm not really in a position to judge, but I'd have to put you up in the higher numbers![]()

Watcha Diana,
I've just had another look over the pics this girl in her fighter scenario, I have to say, the 1st? in the lot, nobody talks about fight club, slightly different pose I know, Is the best. Perhaps too much work on the face, and the epz black is doing nowt for the pic, but, it shows what it is and still has the tension.

Hidey Di !
Massive improvement.
Its a 7 from me (only personal crit as an arty farty)
From 10 it lost points as follows.
1. For the hair cut out. The dead give-away is the haloing and the fact that the rain doesn't appear behind some of it. What extraction method are you using ?
2.The drops are round now (good stuff) but way to big. Raindrops are only the size of peas ya know. These are like meteors !
3. The blues aren't being sympathetic with the mono face. Colour balance needs to be a very subtle marriage. Desaturating just the blues/magentas might work better.
4.Its to "clean" , the frames a good grungy choice but she needs beeting up a bit , like after the action.
And from a purely imagination thingy , I was looking for a "lock" as the blood is just on her bandage , so did ya a quick mod.
Tin hat !
x

Hya,
Thank you again....
you are dead right about dirtying her face up and Andy has kindly told me how to do scars now, so that’s great....thank you
thank you Mick for the mod, the BG is all blurred now and that’s what I thought I had to avoid, oh well.
I liked fight club the best too. albeit a bit too grunged on her face (you're right)
Dave thank you for the mod too
1. The raindrops had a white bit where you mention, so couldn’t help that bit, I added a layer mask a brushed the meteors out of her face and hair with a soft brush.
2. It was the only raindrops texture I could find (at the time) and hey, I like meteors! (but I get the point)
3. I’m not that great with tonal stuff...and I can’t do that saturation bit yet, but I’ll be working on that
4. Yeah well I was only concentrating on the skills alluded to in the previous upload..it’s a great start though don’t ya think ?
The grunging of Phoebe is fab, but way beyond my current skills, or is it a layer then and did you blend it (ooh I can say that now!) and which blend mode did you use please or did you brush bits out and not blend it.
So thanks for the honesty, all of you. Been really helpful..... no tin hat necessary from me (but you may need one when Phoebe sees this!)
She’s the boxer!
Thank you for the other comments and clicks, most kind and very helpful
And any time any of you need help with lightpainting aliens you know where I am

Hell Yeah !
I'll be right behind you
Thanks for that about Phoebe ![]()
I have a (Brazillian coffee) sack (look good in a sack) already (remember the famous Marilyn Monroe shot in a sack)
but she wont wear it cos its all rough on the inside....but I'm working in it
start the group and linky me Please
fab idea
Andy thanks I have only just seen this mod, thats a bit different, kind of how my practice went today, but I wasnt keen on the texture on her face in that one (killing me softly that is)
this is good though and thanks for taking the time
She looks even rougher here with your mod lol
