thanks for your kind words and votes for the Cabo Mondego lightouse!

here is the lantern, one of the few old fresnel lenses that still serve on the Atlantic coast. they still shade and show the lens to keep it as fine as could be. I'm uploading it now as we are travelling on tomorrow and I don't know when we'll have internet next.

I think there is a llighthouse lens very similar to this--perhaps identical-- on this side of the pond in Rhode Island-- A very detailed and perfectly colored image!
