No I was reminded of "Our Lady of the Camelias" some poem I think. This certainly is a very beautiful flower with pink veins and lovely petals. Well-take and composed.

You're on a roll with these big and bold flowers. No subtlety here, just raw colour and texture! Magda may say 'tender' but I say striking. Maybe it is a male thing??

Very pretty. No wonder the first growers in this country thought they were exotic and tender, so grew them in green houses, and were later amazed to find they wintered very happily outside.

When I see the muted colours of this Sandy I am reminded of my own tendency to over egg the colours in PS..I would certainly have done that in this case and spoiled what is definitely a nice effect...
