A quickie break from my Whitby holiday. On Friday I splashed out and bought myself a new camera, the Nikon D7100, together with the newer standard kit zoom lens of 18-105mm - a much more useful lens than the 18-55mm which came with my old camera. So, after familiarising myself with the hundreds more features and menus, and the weather forecast for yesterday sounded good, set off to Roundhay Park on the outskirts of Leeds to try it out. I was hoping there might be some autumn colours on the trees, but apart from a few fallen leaves, most still had green leaves on them Not a lot in the way of flowers either, but the weather was lovely & sunny - and quite warm too This was taken in the Canal Gardens, across the road from the main entrance into the park.
