Early morning light on the Mon And Brecon Canal. I am not sure about this one.Its an attempt at HDR.I can never seem to process HDR images properly so I tend to leave them alone.Anyway I did this one in CS2 and any advice gratefully accepted.

I don't know anything about HDR, however, I do know that I love this image - it looks wonderful!

Lovely composition, great light and reflections.

An idyllic canalside scene, love the reflections, composition and gentle autumnal mood
Love that golden light, the reflections and curve of the canal, and can only say I like it, knowing nothing about HDR.
wonderful light , colors, & reflections Roly, great HDR tone

A beauty, Roly; the light and reflections are superb.

beautifully you have done this, but as you have said it is an HDR image, then i must say that you can use this technology for high dynamic range images because our eye can see 50000:1 dynamic range but camera can capture 300:1 dynamic range resulting lost detail in both highlighted and shadow area. here in this case the dynamic range of the scene i presume is not very high and you can capture it without the HDR technology by properly setting the Ev +/- value.
although if you want to experiment with the HDR technology, first you have to capture at least 3 to 7 images of different exposures of the same scene using a tripod(a must), the settings of every such images should be the same except the shutter speed. you should take raw images if possible. then you should use photoshop.
as you have said it is an early morning picture, so i can say it hardly requires an hdr image processing. you have asked for any kind of help to this images, so i am giving you a link below for better understanding this technology.

although a vote to your work because there is no such lost detail in the highlighted as well as shadow area.
Hope it helps,
somnath

Wonderful light and reflection Roly.... a visit to the canal for me soon methinks !!
Fabulous colours and light, great composition, and finally not forgetting those gorgeous reflections. Stunning image ![]()

In general I am not a fan of HDR images as I think people overuse the effect and I much prefer a "reality" shot! Having said that, it's the 2nd time today I have had to tell someone how much I love their image which used this!! This image is superb, so perhaps I do need to rethink my attitude!
