A handsome **** chaffinch at Cannop Ponds in the Forest of Dean, this shot was taken just before Christmas on a cold, dull day when on a visit there with my good friend and fellow ezper gary_d

Very cheeky pose Ed great capture mate.
Regards
Trev.
Love the angle here Ed. The dull weather does bring out the colours well though

A handsome little fellow, captured beautifully. A series of male and female Chaffies have been queuing up all week to bathe in the small stream which goes into the main pond here. The latter is 98% ice, so can imagine how cold the water must be. Brave lot, these Chaffinches!

Considering the shutter speed you did very well Ed, lovely image,
Geoff.
The light was awful on the day and this was the only image that did not end up in the recycle bin!
A real beauty, considering the conditions you describe, hope you had a good day. Ann
Many thanks for all your comments and clicks and to Roger for the mod, it is greatly appreciated, Ed
