One of the last pictures that I uploaded before the heady delights of e2 and 1000 pixels was of buskers in front of Fenwick’s department store in Newcastle. I liked the model reclining in the window listening to them.
Recently I saw this similar effect in front of M&S – although here the audience has to stand to attention.
So I’ve reworked my original upload to e2 spec, as Version 2, to accompany this shot.
If you have time, please view LARGE.
Thanks to everyone for clicks and comments, I’m amazed at how well the last few uploads have been received - Jackie Milburn clocked up my highest ever score in a day (I think), and even got a vote from a Sunderland supporter.
Thanks for looking.

Fine shot, Moira - although I think the guy on the left may have a few stomach problems.

Ich lad' dich ein; und
du sagst: "YES!"
Und zum Dessert gibt's Happiness.
Dann kommt der Clou: Es finden sich
du und ich
ich und du
die Musik spielt dazu!
Peter Alexander

translation:
I invite you,
You say YES
For dessert there's happiness
Then the clou: we find each other
You find me
I find you
And the music plays along

This song came to my mind when I saw these beautiful pictures.
Have a great day Moira,
Johanna

I thought the chap on the left was Bill, but that's not his instrument is it.

Right shape but no beard, Robert!
I do love pictures of musicians; both these are cracking good'uns (pictures I mean).

Two excellent captures. I like the expression on the saxophone player's face.

I think reflections are great and the expressions on the musicians super. The colours on both images are different yet suit each occasion.

Hi Moira, both of these shots must be among your best ever! Love them both, but No.1 has to be favourite, you have really captured the atmosphere and expressions on the musicians faces brilliantly! Excellent!

Robin

Another wonderful candid; the mannikins in the window do give it an extra dimension. Great expressions too.

At first,I thought the tromboneist had a fag in his hand, but it is probably a dummy.Reckon the audience will be throwing a deaf ear and will not be doing much foot tapping. The guys are giving it a good ''blaw''.Good exposure here with all that is going on.It's another goodie Moira. The original is more impressive large too.

Thanks to everyone - I'm rather fond of both of these myself. And thanks to Johanna for her song. Mick - I've blown the original up, that's the left hand of the check-coat model, definitely not a fag!!

The lean of the sax player gives this some action. Love the opposing lines of the sax and trombone. Superb shot. The models seem less impressed.

What a great urban candid. It is so remote here, I wish I could see some sights like this. I love the mountains and the forests, but there is a special cheer in the activities of human kind.

Sorry I'm late, but here's no; 50 for this wonderful expressive image.
They really look as if they are enjoying what they're doing, & you have captured them perfectly.
Wonderful facial detail & love the movement of the sax player.
I don't think their captive audience, just behind them, are too impressed.
Hilary
