Yes I too am from SA and the various Cape one's are from a trip I took back to the wild coast in 2004 I think.
My family are from the Cape - Tarkastaad more recently - mind you that's a hundred years ago (my grandmother and her children).
I see you live in East London - I have a connection with with the city in as much as a great great whatever grandfather of mine founded the town as one of the 1820 settlers - John Bailie is his name and there is a plaque which I sought out (never having been there before) commemorating his landing - near the lighthouse if I remember correctly - it had been moved from it's original position which was I don't know where
Interesting that you have a bit of the Jacaranda - we stayed at a place called Wavecrest a little way down the coast from there - pleasing trip it was.
I got to Namibia last month for three weeks - again a first time for me - great place!
