After waiting a while at Castlerigg, things were looking a little bleak for some decent light but looking at the patches of light dancing on the distant fells there was also the odd glimmer of hope ... it was just a waiting game. I set the tripod up and readied myself just in case the light did materialise.
In the meantime I put on the 70-200mm lens onto my other camera body and went off a little to shoot a combination of detail shots, some sheep grazing in the next field and some distant shots where the light was hitting the ground on the fell tops.
Without much warning the clouds broke and Low Rigg began to catch the patchy light, slowly the light advanced to the stones of the stone circle ... lovely jubbly!!!
