I would have loved to see many of the ruins now in the care of English Heritage and similar organisations back in Victorian times, covered with growth, trees growing in the midst of the walls. Alas they have all been sanitised. However, here is Castle Kennedy in Dumfries and Galloway, still splendidly overgrown. It's a pity there isn't more of it, but what there is looks good.

A very informative pre-narrative John, supported by an equally impressive photography. "I agree with you totally John, I have been a member of the NT for quite a few years, and Often dream about being transported back to the properties hay day" My favourite dwelling is Nymans, a great place to visit, yet so very sad.

Regards Nathan

A good sense of height, John, nice texture on the brickwork and a wonderful blue sky.
I immediately thought of Rapunzel and the golden stair, the Maiden In The Tower with neither stairs nor a door, and wouldn't be surprised to see a golden pigtail dangling from the top windowGrin.
