I visited Thorp Perrow Arboretum near Bedale in North Yorkshire this afternoon in search of autumn colour. I was not disappointed but found photographing the scenes very difficult first of all from a composition point of view and secondly because so many others were trying to do the same!
In this view we see a massive oak named after Catherine Parr who lived at nearby Snape - the tree is believed to date from the 16th century.
More views over the coming days as I work out what might be worth sharing!
