I was taking shelter under a boat hull during a shower of rain (as you do), and noticed this insect laden web. As soon as the shower passed, I took a shot of it. The red colouring comes from the boat the was in the background.

As an aside, I feel like I'm finally getting decent results from my Sigma 70-300mm lens with my D7000. It worked fine with my D70, but the results were never as sharp as I wanted them to be; maybe it's the focusing performance of the camera?

Thanks for looking,
Michael. Smile

Opportunism in its truest sense. That also applies to the spider Smile
Makes a terrific abstract with all those lines and spaces: they look entirely random but are no doubt cunningly planned.

I loved my D70, but the D7000 trounces just about every camera Nikon ever made.

Thanks Bill.

I've never tried any of the high-end Nikon's, so I can't comment on those, but the D7000 is very lovely indeed.
