A pair of five spot burnet moths I caught copulating on a field scabious on the steep slopes of Swelshill Bank near Stroud, taken a few weeks ago on a trip there with fellow epzer "Looloobey", Louise.

Ed you have managed to capture a rather great macro photograph, which really enhances the colour and details of this rather beautiful looking and somewhat intimate life of this courting couple so very well. A real gem.

Burnets are lovely moths -being one of the first I got to know after taking photos
and not then knowing their identity.
Two having a less than private moment makes this a great natural history image.

Gosh you are posh over there Ed "Copulating" we call it sex, mind you my better half and I after 47 years are totally compatible! We both go to bed with Headaches with the same perfume "Deep Heat" great capture mate they are stunning moths.
