Three images to join in with the day of celebration of Professor J R R Tolkien. Few people in history have written such a great work as the Lord of The Rings trilogy.

1) The flash from Gandalf's staff illuminated the night sky

2) The Ford of Bruinen in peaceful times, Rivendell behind it.

3) Sam Gamgee's dream of his gift from The Lady Galadriel.

Best to everyone. I haven't seen anywhere near all the images, but Roly and Christinas and Neils I have seen are awesome!
Dave.

All so amazing and so different! I think my favorite would be v1 - I love the idea of Gandalf's staff making that flash of light! Wonderful series, Dave - and now we can all think of what to do for Jan. 3rd, his birthday!

I agree with the above and your v1 is a wonderful tribute to a great author and book, I love the Lord of the Rings and have treated myself to a lovey illustrated version, this would make an attractive addition to the works
