Many thanks for all your comments on my last upload, and also to Digital_boi and Robbo B for their User awards, all very much appreciated.
The central hall of the Natural history museum an early visit before the crowds got up to this level.
A single exposure bracketed and the highlights areas blend back in.
Thanks for looking
Regards
Richard

Superb shot, excellent composition, unusual to see it so empty ![]()

This is awesome. It feels like the stairs are leading you down into the picture, which they are in reality. It works really well and the detail in the brick work gives it a slight HDR effect.
Gareth
Wonderful tones and detail throughout, Richard, and the pov from the top of the rail and stairs gives a superb perspective.
Dave
Stupendous Richard, a fantastic composition with a great POV. Stunning in all departments. One might think I like this shot ....I do but more than that I love it it's a work of art done by a very talented photographer
John
Despite the decorated stonework this is really quite austere architecture, at least when viewed as a whole as you have achieved here. I wonder if you have thought of mono in this instance?
A truly first-class image.

The temple to Darwin...
I agree with Bill (I do sometimes... ), I'd like to see b&w.
Moira
Awesome photography and processing Richard, never seen this view with no people.

Trev.
What a splendid capture of this building - wonderful tones and symmetry ![]()

Great symmetrical comp, very well set up and beautifully detailed with the bracketing. The lack of any life really makes the white statue stand out, even with it's central position it might not in a crowd. Great feeling of victorian splendour and yet a bygone era with the emptyness and the solitary statue. I like it a lot!
Very nicely done Richard. My guess is that this was handheld. Or did they let you take a tripod in?
Derek
Wow - stunning detail and natural colours. Love the symmetrical composition. What an impressive space. ![]()

A super symmetrical capture of this splendid building, Richard - unusual to see it so clear of people! ![]()

A fine image Richard, with a super view point.

what an excellent POV and composition, one seems to levitate in to the image, drawn towards the far end!
How well this looks devoid of human prescence, Rich. Well worth getting there before the madding crowd. Your processing has certainly drawn out the tones beautifully.

It was worth slipping those security guards a tenner each to keep out the riff raff. Richard
it's a beautiful shot with great impact.

Great Shot Richard, puts mine in the shade. What time of day did you do it ? It must have been been three exposures blended together.Fantastic quality.
Regards Roger
WoW I would of said you most have used a TS lens to take this.
You've lined everything amazingly well.
A beautiful shot of a wonderful location.
