Have for some time found it difficult to identify a take (I hope this is one) a Siskin, which I think maybe a young female. Whatever it is for me and for once just hopefully you will agree as getting some sharpness and clarity around the eye and face, so I am delighted with this picture.

Thanks Lillian and Trev for your UAs yesterday.

A great day yesterday and many thanks for all your help comments and guidence very well happy

Thanks for verification now changed to Chaffinch so difficult to tell.. Most grateful to all for this correction.. Have a great day Bob

A wonderful bird, so fine and delicate. Beautifully captured. "I think the Siskin has got a more pronounced black crown, and is much slender and longer?"

Guys thank you thats it Black crown and not quite so plump as Siskin.. Not that easy to get this right but half the joy is finding the subjects. Well pleased and have a great day. Bob

A really lovely capture of this little bird; he looks a lot nicer than the chaffinches in my garden! It must be the way you took this shot.
