This chaffinch flew into our window. He laid on the extension roof on its back. His legs were kicking slightly. I picked him up and held him in both my hands to keep him warm. The temperature was very cold with snow on the ground. He seemed to be concussed. His feet and claws couldn't grip. We put him into a shoe box with bedding and after 45 minuets he started to perk up and he found strength in his legs. I took him outside and he managed to stand on the wood logs. All turned out well as he flew off to meet his mates.

Well done you, and nice detailed capture of the
Chaffy. Glad he recovered with your aid.
( I had several birds do just that and now I have
put up little stained glass catch-light hangers so
they can see it's not a fly-through option ! )

Very good detail but a little too much saturation in the colours for me, still a very pleasing image ![]()
