This is the entrance of the chapel. It is a privet chapel in the cemetry. Observe on the side of the door the trunks of the palm trees and the cross on the metal door. Sure it's a masterpiece of work.

It is a wonderfully ornate door Mario.

I like the shot, though its a little underexposed and might look better a little brighter.

You stood to one side of the door rather than diectly in front, so you have the horizintaks diverging from leftto right, which is OK, but for an architectural shot its best to align yourself directly in front to get the geometry right.

Ive loaded a mod to shot the effect of a little more exposure, and opened up the shot with a white border.

Best regards for 2011,

Willie

hello,
a lovely gate of the finest wrought ironwork, (ive made some pretty fancy ones myself in the past) and the grey blue tones of the masonary set it off well but i find my eye keeps being drawn upwards to the shield above the arch and i believe it would be a more harmonious composition with it cropped to remove it.

i think your crop on the left edge and the bottom step was a little tight and would like to have seen just a little more space remaining to balance the right side. it would have also made the straightening of the verticals possible as the columns have a slight lean from true vertical.

happy new year
Phil

Since you asked for critique, I would suggest this would have worked better had you taken it straight on rather than off to the side. That being said, I think it is beautiful architectural feature and I am enjoying seeing it.

It really needs to be a touch lighter and with bit more contrast so the doorway stands out.
an excellent piece, I hope you can revisit it and take the advice given on board.

This is a fine record. I am more than happy with it as is - I might just go with the slightly lighter line.
