The cutoff on the highest (stick? Not sure what it's called, sorry) is a tiny distraction but the absence of the ball is the biggest loss for this shot. The rest of the shot is good but I'd have been tempted to go to ISO 400 and get my shutter speed a bit faster. I might also have shot in portrait orientation to get rid of the empty spaces on either side.

Thanks dan. This was my first taste at sports photography. This shot has been cropped with the middle rider lying on the third of the picture for composition. This left room to the left of the picture for them to move into as they are moving from right to left. I'm not so sure about very tight crops. I agree about cropping off the mallet of one of the riders. I should have left that in on hind sight. As for the ball, that was along way off down the pitch so unfortunately there was no way I could have got that in shot.

The lowish speed setting I tried so as to try to give a sense of movement and not a solid, frozen shot. As they were coming almost towards me, the speed blur isn't so evident. Thanks for your comments and opinions. Always love to recieve feedback.
