This wee beauty was pretty happy to pose till I got the shot I wanted.
Well to be honest she is so completely gorged she finds getting around a bit tricky. With such a beautiful summer there has been plenty of food around. This common garden spider has a body the size of a 5p piece. The garden is COVERED is webs, but this baby is the beast of them all.
Bless her.
Apologies to all arachnophobes.

It's a good shot, and I like the effect of the shallow depth of field. The only problem with that is the fangs are slightly out of focus. Perhaps with a slightly deeper depth of field and the main focus on the face you could still have the effect but with the fangs and the body in focus.
Apart from that, I like it.
The blue background works well with the colours on the spider.
Thanks I'll maybe see if she wants to let me have a second go tomorrow.
