……or is it Pemberley!?
Another image from my outing on Sunday. A little later in the morning so the frost is not so thick. It's a nice view of the house with the river wending its way along in front of it and the hunting tower behind in the distance.
Many thanks for looking,
Delightful. Has the look of a Turner painting.
Jude, A lovely winter scene with great lighting
it is a lovely image.
Super pastel colours makes this look like a landscape painting. The point of view and composition all help to make this glorious and pleasing image.
Beautiful light on the House - could well be Pemberley!
I like the subtle colour and frosty grass.
Many thanks to Kurt for his UA, it's lovely to get and very much appreciated! Thank you to all for comments and votes, which are also very appreciated.
Kate, they used Chatsworth as Darcy's home in the filming of both Death at Pemberley and Pride and Prejudice, though with some artistic license it has to be said
Delightful. Wonderful tones, excellent in every way. Well chosen viewpoint at just the right time of day.
"Artistic Licence" - whiel I didn't see either series, I suspect this means that what is actually round a corner and what appears to be on TV are two different things...
Lovely view. Worth getting up early to be there in good time.

Absolutely right John ~ or someone would go through a door and not be in the room, or even the building, as should have been on the other side of it!
A fabulous landscape, Jude!
I reckon there's competition between Chatsworth and Lyme Park as to which one is the 'real' Pemberley!
It is Pemberley Jude . Saw the shoot at York. They shot all day and only a few minutes of it was used .

They did a lot of the filming there, I was in the garden while some of it was going on but I wasnt allowed to take photos.
The side of the house where there are steps down on to the South Lawn (not a public area) was used as the front of Pemberley. Carrages etc in the program came in at the end of the canal pond nearest to the house and looped round. Only then they'd go through the door and not be in Chatsworth at all or they'd look out of a window that was Chatsworth and the scene beyond it wasn't!
But I guess that happens all the time with these things
This was my interpretation of the shoot that day.

You really caught the flavour of the whole thing
I love this place, superb shot too.
