Hi! Welcome to EPZ! ![]()
This is a gorgeous capture! It's not easy to capture flowers when they are still in the garden, just as you press the shutter a breeze will blow and move the flowers. You've done brilliantly, the petals are lovely and sharp.
Hi Bluefire and welcome to Epz.
Sorry but I don't know your real name.
This is really pretty good!
The bits that need to be are as sharp as a tack and the background, although it's a bit "busy," is nicely out of focus. There's plenty of colour and compositionally, it works well. You've placed the focal point, the bloom, on a third.
If I was to be really picky, I'd say get rid of the green bit in the right hand corner but since I don't know what editing software you have, if any, I'm not sure that that's an easy option.
Altogether, a great first upload.
Well done.
Jester.
I’d like to welcome to EPZ
I like the colour in this photo

Thank you, Jester! I am in between the ages of 10 and 20 (on the younger side), and I doubt my mom would appreciate me giving out my real name. Yes, I noticed the green part but decided to worry about it later. I'm sure it's an easy fix for a PSE 9 professional, but I'm very inexperienced with PSE 9, which I got for Christmas, so... I guess I don't know.
But thanks again! ![]()
Hi again!
Don't worry about your name. Some of us use them, some prefer not to.
As for your experience, or (perceived) lack of it, you've come to the right place.
There are loads of tutorials on here and you'll almost certainly find one to explain how to do just about anything!
Even if the tutorial refers to another editor, ie. not the one you're using, don't be put off. Some of the tools may be in different places or have different names but the theory will always be the same.
If you feel the need to ask for help, DO SO! There will always be someone here ready to answer your questions or point you in the right direction.
However daft or silly your question might seem to you, ask it anyway. Chances are, at some point all of us will have had to ask exactly the same daft question!
Remember, there's no substitute for experience. Keep trying and the penny really will drop.
Good luck, I'll look forward to seeing more of your work.
Jester.
Hi and welcome to EPZ and the Junior Gallery from me too ![]()
Lovely colours and super focus - don't worry about not being 100% sure of how to use your software, it will come with practice, and there are excellent tutorials available on site too - try the techniques section from the drop down menu at the top of each page ![]()
