My family and I spent Christmas with my parents last year in Texas. During that time, I fell in love with the new Chevy Camaro which costs about £30k here. This is a heavily edited photo of a yellow Camaro I took in the car park of a Toys R Us on a partly cloudy day.

One of my inspirations on ePHOTOzine is AmbientLife and I wanted to give it a dark ominous feel similar to his photography (perhaps a little to dark). I think I may have pulled that off not to badly here. It's just too bad I didn't have a better back drop. Looking at the end product, it almost looks like a concept drawing of the car to me.

Would love to hear everyone's comments/critique on this photo. I just might upload the original at a later date so you can see all the 'magic' that this photo was put through.

Hi David,

I like this and I can definitely see why you modified the original!

I've uploaded a mod. in which I've (rather quickly) cloned out most of the light areas on the windows and increased the brightness a little. I also made a slight alteration to the colour, increasing the red, using curves.
All subjective stuff of course.
Hope it's OK.

Bren.

Edit: It'll never be a match for the old 1960s Camaro, the Z28, I think it was although I stand to be corrected. They were the streetcar to have during my drag racing days.

Thanks Bren. Your modification is pretty cool too! I played around with curves to try to give the colour a bit more punch and it kept coming out all odd, so I left it.

Totally agree, the old muscle cars are the ones to have, although I do think that this new generation has stuck with what worked when it comes to design.
