Lovely capture. Just love the footprints in the frost that provide the lead-in. Great idea to put a link in to the info about the tower.

Have to agree with all above comments: the footprints in the frosted grass leading up to the Tower and with the visitors keeking over the parapet add so much to this winter visit.

to read about all these killings, suicides and hangings !!
Good shot though.

For once the footprints make some sense, but you should never walk where you might want to photograph, it's easy to mess up an image you see later. Never seen a fort built at the bpttom of a hill, I wonder why? lol. Wink

Quite a tale to tell, this tower. Mind, it has been there so long there will be hundreds I suppose. The footprints do a grand job here, along with the modest vignette.

Twice in my life I have had panic attacks Barbara, and the first one was up top of this tower many years ago - no idea why though. Very nicely captured with the footprints in the frost. Moira

So, did you have to make the footprints yourself, or were there willing serfs to do the job for you, Barbara?Wink

Good subdued colours and misty , chilly look to this one.
