Lovely capture. Just love the footprints in the frost that provide the lead-in. Great idea to put a link in to the info about the tower.
Excellent winter capture Barbara.

Trev.
Yes, those tracks work so very well and make a super capture even more interesting! Well captured!

For once the footprints make some sense, but you should never walk where you might want to photograph, it's easy to mess up an image you see later. Never seen a fort built at the bpttom of a hill, I wonder why? lol. ![]()

Gives me quite a chill to think about it, Barbara.
I like the tones and the vignetting.

I wonder what was wrong with using the steps?!
It has provided you with a different capture of this much photographed subject though, Barbs ![]()

Great shot of Clifford’s Tower Barbara.
Love the foot prints in the frost providing a lead.
I like the use of the vignette too. ![]()

So, did you have to make the footprints yourself, or were there willing serfs to do the job for you, Barbara?![]()
Good subdued colours and misty , chilly look to this one.
Malc
Mighty fine detailed work a pleasure to see and well presented
Great shot of one of my non-favourite places (I hate heights).
David
I think it is a great composition with the hill and the footsteps leading up
