Hi Red, just love V1 out of the three from the Chinese Gardens.
It brings out the bark on the tree and the great colours in the stones.
V2 gives it that beautiful pencil texture. Three great works all lovely…

v1 has the colour and texture. Impact and that 'wow' factor. v2 is more subtle, more artistic. They are too different to choose between.

Three uniquely different and equally as good images WR. One often asks oneself when looking at your work where is the boundary, if there is one between Art and Photography. The more traditionalist would consider your images to be merely works of art, however I consider them works of art generated from an original source, just like one would paint a picture. You are observing the image, interpreting what you see and producing an outcome based on what you see both in the real world and that on your conscious or subconscious mind. The style of manipulation and processing is a personal choice, who am I, or anyone else to judge your outcome. If I or anyone else does not like what they see that is fine, alternatively if they think your work is good then that is also fine. Art and Photography for me will continue to have equal status and just be used in the same manner, which is to convey a visual message to the viewer.

Agree with Nathan's comment.
I always enjoy your work because it is artistic - it's a pleasure to look at.
So photograph or painting or one worked with the other - if the end result is pleasing -
that's all that matters.
These images are beautiful - V1 very exotic and V2 appealing to some inner artist.
V3 for those who can appreciate the fine art of drawing.
More of this please.

Three different images, very well worked. I like the colourful V1 but I like the artistic V2 as well.
