Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire is the Ancient Seat of the Marquess of Cholmondeley, hereditary Lord Great Chamberlain of England.

The Cholmondeleys of Cholmondeley came to Cheshire with the Norman Conquest and descended, on the male side, from the Norman Marcher Barons of Malpas and, on the female side, from the half-sister of William the Conqueror himself.

Thanks for taking the time to look, your comments are always very welcome.

This is such a warm and inviting capture, Sarah that is a pleasure to view. Especially after my bone chilling upload today. I love your composition and how that white cloud is positioned in the back of the castle. Very nice indeed.
Do you get much stormy weather out your way, Sarah. Whenever I see these great looking castles, I always envision them with dark foreboding skies in the background and storm clouds racing by. Maybe you could try some sunset shots with cloudy skies and long exposures. I bet they would look really neat. Just a thought.
