Sometimes it's hard to walk through it all without tripping over but it's there and adds to the charm. Thought I'd show you how difficult it is sometimes to get shots of the boats without all of the (charming) surroundings! I like the inclusion of the cable car lift on the East Hill in this one.
Thanks as always for your time, your thoughts/comments are very welcome.
Will be catching up with all of your work soon, have been feeling quite poorly for the last few days!
Regards - Sarah J x

All the clutter you describe can add to the sense of what the fishing industry is like and in fact makes a change from the the more manicured pretty shot we always try to find, Sarah.
So quite refreshing (if not the smell......you mention rotting fish) from that viewpoint.
Ronnie.
(PS. How come it's always sunny on that stretch of beach?........R)
I recognise so many 'old friends' here, I can't wait to get back.

The inclusion of the background really brings the location itself to life, and very vividly so. There may be purists who insist on total isolation of the subject; I'm not one of them!

With clutter, without clutter... it's how you make the best of what is (or isn't there) that makes the image. Lovely lighting and excellent saturated colour, Sarah.

Wonderfully rich in colour Sarah
Excellent work here.
A beautiful capture as we've come to expect from you, Sarah - and it wouldn't look natural without all the clutter! ![]()
So sorry to hear you haven't been well
hope you're soon feeling better ![]()

This comp' really works for me Sarah, and that lovely Cream colour of the Boat is what catches my Eye. Great to see the Cable Car too.

Another striking image from here. You have inspired me to take a run down to Hastings this Saturday Sarah.
