V 2 is a real frame filler, Trev, the entire space taken up with this lovely mauve/purple chrysanth, and I like the pink one against the black b/g in V 1, my favourite b/g for indoor shots.
My only concern is the stem which doesn't seem to quite fit.......is this inadvertent due to processing or something deliberately applied? I feel a more natural look would suit the beautiful flower better.
Sorry if this sounds a bit picky.
Ronnie.
In spite of the stem it is V1 for me, lovely composition.
2 beautiful images Trev, V1 my clear favourite, a super image,
Fred.
Lovely purple hues and a frame filling composition. v2 for me, Trev.

On revisiting your image this morning, Trev, and on re-reading my own remarks, I am rather appalled at my choice of phrase which was ill conceived and totally inappropriate coming as it does from an amateur to a professional.
I hope you may find it possible to accept this open apology.
Ronnie.
love V1 the colour superb and detail is great, looks good on the black to
V2 is a fine sea of colour Trevor V1 the long exposure and high f spot makes for a fine image lovely colour and tones

Thanks everyone for great comments and votes, I should have put up an explanation at the start! The stem in V1 had been sprayed with some sort of metallic paint for it to be worn for a party Saturday evening, the flower was fresh and the purple flower had a purple metallic coat applied to the stem, this flower shop tries to match flower and stem to colour of dress, it was worn by my Grandaughter, the flowers were in excellent condition and different! So could not pass up the opportunity to photograph them.
Regards
Trev.
Two very colourful captures, Trev - I'd to put my sunglasses on for V2!! ![]()
