Still not firing on all cylinders, spending a lot of time in bed. I was supposed to be going into hospital on Sunday for some nerve blockers which help me with the chronic pain in my hips, however because of the Winter Virus I have to be clear for 72 hours. I wouldn't mind so much but the waiting list is six months long.
Today's upload was captured a short while ago in the garden, I appreciate that it is not a high quality observational study but I rather like is rather inquisitive expression and charm.
Thank you for all your wonderful comments and votes following yesterdays upload. I feel somewhat of a fraud not being able to spend to much time 'if any' looking at and commenting on your great work. Twenty minutes out of bed and I am cream crackered, so once again I apologise for this.
I hope that you all have a great day ahead, for me it is back to bed until my next cup of tea.
Regards as always Nathan ![]()

A super capture, Nathan, one to be proud of. Relax and take it easy, you probably haven't much choice, feeling the way you do at present, but rest will help, and it won't be long before those four cylinders will be up and running at maximum strength again
Carol
Lovely detail and subtle colours as well, Nathan.

I'm happy that you are able to take the time to upload - that's something pretty positive.

A great image Nathan, very sharp and very well exposed, I tried some bird shots last weekend at Pennington Flash, 6 or 7 hides and one a feeding station. Loads of birds but got nothing worth posting here, imo your only as good as your worst image! Take care and have a good weekend and hope you manage to get out and about a little, sounds like a duff few days youve had. regards Phil
Nathan, this is an absolutely gorgeous photo - I would be chuffed, had I taken it
It's not always about the perfect natural setting and as you told me, to become a good bird photographer one needs to invest in a hide and an expensive zoom lens and that is great for dedicated bird photographers - I've seen their amazing and inspirational photos. For the rest of us its about the composition or that special moment - its not always about just the bird, sometimes the bigger picture is just as important - I truly believe that with any nature image. This little bird is so beautiful ![]()
I wish you much needed healing and less painful recovery - You can do it - what's there to lose
