I presume it was a little breezy as some of the foreground flowers look as though they have moved. Love the image though, the two headlands beyond give depth to the shot.

Off to Cornwall in june, can't wait Smile

Thanks, Martin and Gary.

Just a little breezy, Martin. The movement in the flowers was the primary reason why it's been sitting unprocessed in my files for some time. I decided in the end that there was a sufficient number of sharp flowers to try to do something with it. Not sure if it was the right decision, though. Smile

You'll have an amazing time in Cornwall - will it be your first time?

Many thanks, Mark, Martin and Dave.

Martin, You must try to get down there sometime - it's a beautiful part of the world.

Not exactly the sea colours that we're used to, Dave. Smile

Aah, I see, Martin - a vision of schoolboys in a sweetshop springs to mind!

'tis a beauty Ian, do you have a landscape version too? I reckon it would work even better..well possibly

Rich, That's a great point. A landscape format would have provided greater emphasis on the distant lit cliffs (and less on the blurred flowers) which, as Paul points out, are probably the strongest element. Something to remember for the next time.

Smile Martin!

Fantastic image Ian, a really powerful & vibrant scene with some fantastic colours & light.

I keep complmenting a visit to Cornwall in late April, do you know if there will be any flowers around on the cliff tops at this time of year?

Many thanks, everyone, for your kind comments.

Hi Chris, I think May be the time to see the flowers at their best. I gather gorse is flourishing in April but I get the impression gorse flourishes at any time of year!! Having said that, it's been quite a mild winter, hasn't it....and so perhaps there may be something to see in late April.

Cornwall looking at its very best, a delightful capture indeed...
