Sometimes it's impossible to please everyone's penchant in photography. I never attempt to photographically please spectators rather to foster a style that forces grimaces and scowls. That way I am never fazed with success.

The orange/ clementine has come out really well in the soft light - loads of detail.

Personally, I would crop the wood out and consider a different colour background to help complement the vase and fruit.
